This is my story:
My Grandfather Ludwik Kalan, a teacher in technical school in Brest was killed during bombardment of Brest on 2 September 1939. He is buried on old Catholic Cementary in Brest.
Last year, for the first time in my life, I had the possibility to visit Brest and also this cementary. Unfortunately, to my dissapointment I could not find his grave. The cross with name on it has vanished as the years passed by. The grave is there, but how to find out where exactly. Is there any archive (state or church) in Brest, which could have such information?
