Looking for any information on how to research my roots from Belarus

I am trying to see if I can research my family tree. My father's family come from Brest oblast', but they moved to Russia and lived there. My father's last name is Homchik. I just want to see where I can find information, perhaps, a website that does Belorussian and Russian names.
