Searching for family of my grandfather, Konstanty Kallaur. He came to the US in the early 1900s. I think he was born in 1881 near Pinsk, possibly in Dubrova? I would appreciate any information that might help. Thank you.

I don't know anything about the Kallaur member you're looking for, but I know my grandfather (Leonid) & grandmother (Leonilla) were from Pinsk. They came to the US in the 50's.

Evgeni,
Thanks for replying. Where do you live? From what I can find out, most Kallaurs are from the Pinsk area, and probably related. Email me. I'd love to get to know you.

I found a Kallaur family in Niagara-on-the Lake while visiting the Niagara Falls area several years ago-you should check to see if they're listed in that directory. That would involve a Canadian visit. Also, as Evgeniy Kallaur stated, our family came here from Pinsk in 1949-to Utica, N.Y.My father was Leonid (deceased 1991), my mother Leonila. My father was an only child, son of Ippolit (deceased in his 20's) and Zinaida Kallaur (deceased early 1980's).Ippolit's parents were Adam and Yeva...we don't have any further information.

We are from Poland - city Slawno at Baltic Sea. My family is from Pinsk area. My father-in-law (Leoncjusz Kallaur) helped us to make family tree, he is 88 years old. He remember his grandfather – Teodor. He sead that he leaved in Sienczyce near Pinsk. But he was forced to move from that area in II World War in 1939. If you want we can sent you this family tree in exel format. There are lots of informations that made clear picture of our family.

All these names and areas are very similar. My grandfather was from near Pinsk. His name was Ipolit. He was an Orthodox priest who left during WWll. He settled in CT and died around 1969. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, I would love more info. Thanks.

Hi all,
I just happened upon this site. My father Anthony was born (near?) Pinsk in 1906 and emigrated to Canada in 1927. His cousins Walter and Alexander came to the Niagra-on-the-Lake region after WWII. His uncle Ivan was also part of this emigration.

I met a cousin -Regina-3 years ago when I was in Poland--there seems to be confusion about the family there as well. I'll keep checking this site for responses.

My father Jan Kallaur came to England in 1942 from Brazil. He was born at a village called Kallaurowicz which is situated south east of Pinsk. He was born in 1919 when Kallaurowicz was part of Bellaruse but became Polish in 1920. He travelled to Brazil from Poland in 1937 and joined the Polish Air Force in Rio de Janeiro. After the war he returned to Brazil but eventually settled in England. E-mail for more.
