My father, Nick Baida/Bayda/Bajda was born about 1909 in Molotkovichi, Pinsk Region. His family moved to Saskatchewan or the Northwest Territories sometime between 1910 and 1932. I'm looking for any information at all.

18:00 | Brest Regional Soviet Chairman Lemeshevsky donates bus, computers to village schools in district where he will run for reelection

Leonid Lemeshevsky, chairman of the Brest Regional Soviet and a candidate for the Soviet in the March 2 local elections, has made donations to several educational institutions in the Pinsk district on behalf of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

In particular, he has presented a new bus to the village schools at Zhidcha and Khoina, which will be used to transport children from neighboring villages. Eight computers have been donated to the school at Molotkovichi. Mr. Lemeshevsky, born in the Pinsk district, was elected to the Regional Soviet from the Pinsk district. Now he will
also be on the ballot there.
He is the only candidate in Pleshchitsy Electoral District No. 52 that includes the above-mentioned villages.

As per Ellis Island, in 1910 there was a Stepan Baida, 27 and married, coming from Molotkewiczi /Minsk). He was heading for Newark NJ.

Thank you so much for your reply to my inquiry. I suppose Stepan Baida could be my great-grandfather, so will try to do a little research from that angle.

As per Ellis Island, Stefan's wife was named Anna.

Stefan Baida was born appx 1893.
