Auerbach/Mirsky Families

My grandfather, Jack (Yankel) Auerbach was born in Brest-Litovsk in the 1880's. His mother (nee Malka Mirsky) took him to Jerusalem when he was very young, following the death of his father. Any information about Auerbachs or Mirskys in or around Brest-Litovsk would be greatly appreciated, as I cannot find any trace of them.
