What was GGrandfather's given name?

There was a Menascha and Pascha Schulkin traveling from Gomel in 1912. They were headed for Brooklyn. Father's name was Abram.

The surname Schulkin/Shulkin is very common surname in States. In order to even start looking, one needs given names.

PS> Between 1914-1918 trans-Atlantic immigration came to a halt.
